The Lesser Noddy lives year round in the Abrolhos. The Australian subspecies of the Lesser Noddy is listed as a threatened species because it breeds on only three islands in the Abrolhos, with all nests in less than five hectares of mangroves. This makes the Lesser Noddy particularly vulnerable to disturbance. Pictured on Wooded Island, Easter Group, Houtman Abrolhos, Western Australia.
